vaishno mata mandir, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mata Adi Shakti also known as Chandi/Durga. The words "maa" and "mata" are commonly used in India for "mother", and thus are often used in connection with Vaishno Devi. vaishno mata mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess, located in Katra at theTrikuta Mountains within the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The Temple or Bhawan is 13.5 km from Katra and various modes of transportation are available from Katra to Bhawan, including Ponies, Electric vehicles and palaki operated by 4 persons. Helicopter services are also available up to Sanjichhat, which is 9.5 km from Katra.

History

Vaishno Devi Mandir is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess, located in the Mountains in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, India.  The story , vaishno mata mandir Jammuj.

In her lifetime vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) attracted many devoted followers including saints. The fame of her divine power and miracle spread far and wide. People started visiting the abode of vaishno mata mandir ( Trikuta )to get benediction.


 Importance

After some time vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) sought permission from her father for taking penance on the seashore. vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) her name and reason for penance. However, Ram ji wished that penance of vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) should no go waste and unfruitful. Therefore he said to her,  definitely come to see you in a disguised form. If you can recognise me at that time then accept you.”

 

It is said that on his return from Lanka, Lord Rama went to see the girl in the form of an old monk (Sadhu) but she did not recognise him as God.

 

He revealed his identity and assured vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) that in ‘Kaliyug’ he would manifest himself as ‘Kalki’ would marry her.

 

He asked vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) to meditate in vaishno mata mandir (Trikuta) range of Manik Mountains, situated in north India. He said that Trikuta would become immortal forever and would become famous as ‘vaishno mata mandir’.
